New Gladiator 571 Blade hull #1 out of the mold. She will officially be introduced at the 2024 fall Boat Shows

The hull of the Gladiator 571 Blade has been deeply studied and extensively tank tested before production of the mold started. We wanted to be able to offer the boat with various engine and transmission packages to be able to perform from 37 knots for the entry level configuration up to 68 knots in its triple engine configuration with surface drive.

Like on every Canados build yacht, the hull had to be safe and comfortable and offer optimum seaworthiness.

It is somehow frustrating on the first unit built to have to wait several months before seeing the laminated hull out of the mold.

On May 19th, 2023, we were not disappointed to see the completed hull and for any expert, looking at the running surfaces of this boat with its triple ventilated steps and aft section pad is very promising for the future handling of the boat.

The first Gladiator 571 will be launched summer 2024 and presented during the fall boat shows.

Unfortunately for our team, the card gave us the exterior line, thus making the first lap a bit longer and bringing us closer to the beach where the backwash of the swell is tricky. Therefore, and with a high-speed potential and a perfect set-up of the boat, and starting in 4th position, Gladiator passed two boats and with a good 4 mph faster than the leader, it decided to head for first position before turn one. Unfortunately, at the time of passing the leader, the proximity to the beach and passing over a sand bank played their role and the boat hit an unexpected bigger hole.
